‘Marco’, starring Unni Mukundan, was released on December 20, 2024, and has been performing well at the box office. Following its success, reports suggest that a major streaming platform has acquired its digital rights.
As per social media buzz, the film is expected to stream on OTT giant Netflix. The film will reportedly start streaming in multiple languages, including Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Hindi, approximately 45 days after its theatrical release. This means viewers can anticipate its arrival on OTT platforms around the last week of January or the first week of February 2025. Additionally, the OTT version of ‘Marco’ is expected to feature an extended runtime with deleted scenes and more content.
Directed by Haneef Adeni, the plot centers around Victor, a blind man who witnesses the murder of his friend Wasim. He identifies the killer, Russell Issac, through his scent and vehicle. To silence Victor, Russell brutally attacks him. Victor’s brother George is devastated by the loss, prompting their adopted brother Marco to return from Italy. Marco vows to avenge Victor’s death despite George’s pleas for restraint. As he uncovers betrayal and confronts powerful enemies, Marco faces intense violence and tragedy.
The film features a strong cast alongside Unni Mukundan, including Siddique as George D’Peter, Jagadish as Tony Isaac, and Kabir Duhan Singh as Cyrus Isaac. Other notable actors include Anson Paul as Devaraj and Yukti Thareja as Maria.
The film has been performing well on the big screens. It already made crossed Rs 50 crores within days of its release.
