Exclusive – Dushyant Vora: Every character should evolve beyond their basic traits

Dushyant Vora, who is seen as Gangadhar Paranjape in Jamai No. 1, which is produced by Prateek Sharma and Parth Shah, feels a character should also go through ups and downs in a show to make it more relatable.
He said, “I feel every character should evolve beyond their basic traits. It would be interesting and make them more relatable.”
He also mentioned that his character will be going through an emotional journey and added, “He might make the audience cry and connect deeply with the story.”
Dushyant also believes that every show needs a little time to grow. He said, “Audiences need time to acquaint themselves with the storyline and characters. With this unique storyline and brilliant performances from all the actors, I’m sure we’ll achieve remarkable TRPs. Fingers crossed.”
Being a part of a daily soap is not easy, and he feels that time management is the key to maintaining a balance between personal and professional life. He also added, “With the support of family members, we can manage and balance both professional and personal life.”
However, he stressed that lack of personal time can sometimes affect an actor’s professional life as well. He said, “After all, actors are human beings too.”
His goal in 2025 is to upskill in his craft and evolve as an actor. “Having portrayed different shades of characters over the years, I’m still looking forward to brushing up on my skills, especially in the comedy genre,” Dushyant ended.
