Pune: National OBC Federation president Babanrao Taywade said the politics aimed at creating division between Maratha and OBC communities afresh over the murder of Santosh Deshmukh, sarpanch of Beed’s Massajog village, should be stopped. “People should not indulge in caste politics over this sensitive case. The Marathwada region had witnessed a wider division between Maratha and OBC communities. We were happy to see that gap getting narrower during assembly polls. Both communities have been coming together. If somebody tries again to create a fresh division it will not be good for the state,” Taywade said. – Anurag Bende
