Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line bookings commence in India.

Volkswagen India has commenced pre-bookings for the much-anticipated Tiguan R-Line. The model can be booked at Volkswagen dealerships nationwide or via the company’s official website. The Tiguan R-Line is slated for an official launch on April 14, 2025, and will be introduced to the Indian market as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). A quick check of the company’s website confirms that the model is available for booking with a payment of Rs 25,000.

Tiguan R-Line: All you need to know

The Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line is a sportier take on the standard Tiguan, featuring a sleeker design and added features. Built on the MQB ‘evo’ platform, it measures 4,539mm in length, 1,639mm in height, and 1,842mm in width, with a 2,680mm wheelbase – 30mm longer than before. It gets IQ Light HD Matrix headlights with 38,400 multi-pixel LEDs, a slim LED strip connecting the headlights, and larger air intakes with a black panel. At the rear, three-cluster LED taillights span across the tailgate. Other sporty touches include an R-Line grille, dual-tone alloy wheels, and dual-tip exhausts.
Under the hood, the Tiguan R-Line boasts a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine that delivers 204 hp and 320 Nm of torque. This powertrain is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Volkswagen is offering the Tiguan R-Line in six distinct monotone color options: Persimmon Red Metallic, Cipressino Green Metallic, Nightshade Blue Metallic, Grenadilla Black Metallic, Oryx White Mother of Pearl Effect, and Oyster Silver Metallic.
Inside, the Tiguan R-Line is equipped with a 10.3-inch digital instrument display alongside a 12.9-inch central touchscreen infotainment system, both running on Volkswagen’s latest MIB4 software platform capable of receiving over-the-air updates. Additional features include sports seats, an ambient lighting package with 30 colour options, and a dual-zone climate control system.
In terms of safety, the Tiguan R-Line comes equipped with an ADAS suite. This includes features such as adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist, and more.
