Vietnamese EV manufacturer VinFast is all set to enter the Indian market. The carmaker will showcase its flagship electric SUVs, the VF7 and VF9, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. This marks VinFast’s official debut in India, following the announcement of its Rs 4,000 crore investment in an EV manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding with the state government in early 2024. VinFast’s announcement has teased its EV lineup on social media. Here, let’s take a look at what to expect from these models.

VF9, VF7 electric SUVs: What to expect

The VF9 is VinFast’s top-of-the-line electric SUV, offered with a choice of 6- or 7-seat configurations. The model measures 5.1 metres in length and features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup. In terms of performance, the VF9 produces 402 bhp and 620 Nm of torque.
It houses a 123 kWh battery pack. The Eco variant offers a range of 531 km, while the Plus variant promises 468 km on a single charge. As for features, it gets a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats with massage functions, and a 15.6-inch infotainment system.

On the other hand, the VF7 is a compact 5-seater electric SUV. Its Eco variant features a single motor delivering 201 bhp, while the Plus variant offers a dual-motor AWD setup with 348 bhp. Both trims are powered by a 75.3 kWh battery, providing a range of up to 450 km (Eco) and 431 km (Plus). As for features, it gets Level 2 ADAS, a choice of 12.9-inch or 15-inch infotainment displays, and premium cabin materials.
