Mumbai: Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Monday criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the Mahayuti govt enforcing the ban on plaster of Paris (PoP) idols by denying permission for immersions to Ganpati mandals for the Maghi Ganeshotsav. Thackeray said while everyone is taking a dip in Maha Kumbh Mela, including the PM, the govt is issuing notices saying PoP idols can’t be immersed.”If PoP idols are causing pollution, I can understand that it is right to make clay idols. But who will provide the clay? If the idols are ready, what is the alternative?
