TVS Motor Company has finally commenced the deliveries of its electric scooter, the TVS X. The first set of units has been delivered in Bengaluru. The model was launched in August 2023 and carries a price tag of Rs 2.49 lakh, ex-showroom. This makes it one of the most expensive electric scooters in the country. Here’s what you get for this amount.

Speaking of the looks, the X features an aggressive maxi-scooter design with angular bodywork, and a sporty stance. It gets a vertically-stacked LED head lamp and a sharp, split-up front apron. As for battery and range, this EV is powered by a 4.44 kWh battery pack, delivering a claimed IDC range of 140 km. The X belts out a maximum of 9.4 hp and can achieve a top speed of 105 kmph.
Riders can choose between three riding modes: Xtealth, Xtride, and Xonic. The TVS X also comes equipped with a massive 10.25-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, enabling navigation, call and SMS alerts, and real-time vehicle diagnostics. Besides that, it allows you to watch videos, listen to music and even play games when the scooter is not moving and the side stand is deployed. Suspension duties are handled by USD front forks and a monoshock at the rear. Stopping power comes from 220mm front and 195mm rear disc brakes, supported by single-channel ABS.
