Mumbai: Mulund police arrested three accused who sexually molested a minor by luring her with fifty rupees, last week. The police booked the accused under the stringent Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).
According to information received from the police, a 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by being lured with fifty rupees.
On the fateful day, the girl was crossing the East-West Pedestrian Bridge in Mulund when she met one of the accused.
The man promised to give her fifty rupees and convinced her to come with him. Trusting him, the girl started following the man, who took her to a nearby forest. There, he along with two others sexually assaulted her. The incident came to light when the minor experienced stomach pain and was taken to Sion Hospital for treatment, where it was discovered that the girl was pregnant.
