​Suzanne Bernert recalls working with filmmaker Shyam Benegal, she says, ‘It is an irreparable loss​ but ​he will always remain as a special memory’

Actress Suzanne Bernert, who was last seen in the TV show Pyar Ka Pehla Naam: Radha Mohan is saddened by Shyam Benegal`s passing away. She had the privilege of working with him in the TV show Samvidhaan, the making of the Constitution of India.
Shyam Benegal was a renowned filmmaker known for his unparalleled storytelling and iconic films like Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Susman,Mandi, and Arohan, among others, passed away at the age of 90 on Monday night.
Suzanne said, “It is an irreparable loss but he will always remain as a special memory. I remember just after my marriage with Akhil Mishra in 2009, he had to shoot for his film Well Done Abba! I went with Akhil for his shoot and saw Shyam sir direct Akhil. Later he offered me a small part in his television series Samvidhaan.”
She added, “It was an amazing experience shooting with him. I feel blessed that I got to know him in 2006. He was creative and patient at the same time. As I’m currently in Germany, I couldn’t go to see him for the last time. I’m praying for the departed soul. There are no words for the legacy he has created.”
