Shiv Sena UBT mobilizes cadre for civic polls in Thane | Thane News

THANE: Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and former MP Vinayak Raut has claimed that the Mahayuti alliance’s victory in the recent assembly elections was the result of manipulation in the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). He urged party workers in Thane to start preparing for the upcoming municipal elections.
“They (Mahayuti) did not win the assembly election fairly; their victory was achieved through unfair means, primarily through tampering with the EVMs. This is no longer a secret,” Raut said. “We should not be disheartened by this. They are merely opportunists clinging to power,” he added.
Raut called on Shiv Sena’s Thane-based cadres, including those from the Kopri-Pachpakhadi and Owla-Majivada constituencies, to focus on the civic polls. “If we want to rid Maharashtra of these ‘thieves,’ we must work together. Forces from Gujarat are now eyeing the Thane and Mumbai municipal corporations. We must raise the saffron flag of Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray and party president Uddhav Thackeray in the Thane Municipal Corporation,” Raut urged. “To achieve this, we must put the recent defeat behind us and get back to work.”
