Mumbai: Shiv Sena (UBT) MLC Sunil Shinde and his associates narrowly escaped unhurt when a rented BEST bus grazed his parked car at Khed galli, Prabhadevi, Saturday afternoon.
The incident occurred moments after Shinde and three others stepped out of the vehicle, avoiding any injuries. However, the collision caused the fibre mudguard of Shinde’s vehicle to come off.
The bus, on route 151, was plying between Wadala depot and J Mehta Marg at the time of the incident. The impact startled nearby party workers, who rushed to the spot. A police complaint was filed, and Dadar police are investigating the matter.
BEST officials later confirmed that the bus involved in the accident was part of their fleet of rented vehicles, operated by Mateshwari Urban Transport Solutions. TNN
