Royal Enfield is gearing up to expand its popular Interceptor lineup with a more powerful offering, the Interceptor 750. An undisguised test mule of the model was recently spotted testing on Indian roads, indicating that the launch could happen soon. Here, let’s take a look at what we know about the model so far.

Royal Enfield Interceptor 750: All you need to know

The most significant update is the new 750cc parallel-twin engine, which is expected to produce over 50 hp and 60 Nm of peak torque, substantially higher than the current-gen 650cc iteration. This move is likely aimed to deliver not only better performance but also improved refinement and efficiency. The six-speed gearbox is likely to be retained in the 750cc model.
In terms of design, as seen in the spy shots, the Interceptor 750 features only a few noticeable tweaks. The test mule features a new LED tail light and circular LED turn indicators. Alloy wheels replace the spoked ones from the 650 model, while the round LED headlamp continues to build on its retro appeal. Besides that, the motorcycle looks more or less the same, featuring the same fuel-tank, side panels and other design details.

As for hardware, the Interceptor 750 includes a dual-disc setup at the front, compared to the single-disc system on the 650. The suspension system, including telescopic forks in front and dual shock absorbers at the rear look similar to the newly-launched Bear 650. One of the standout features spotted is a 5-inch circular TFT display, borrowed from the Himalayan 450, which could likely feature navigation and Bluetooth connectivity.
While pricing details remain under wraps, the Interceptor 750 is expected to sit above the current model, which starts at Rs 3.21 lakh, ex-showroom.
