RFK Jr Live: RFK Jr says ‘my boss loves Diet Coke’ at Senate hearing: ‘But you should know…’

RFK Jr in his opening statement asserted that he is not against vaccines.

Actor and wife Cheryl Hines and journalist, commentator Megyn Kelly sat behind RFK Jr as he faced the grilling of the Senate hearing Wednesday. A protest amid the hearing as a woman shouted at RFK Jr calling him an anti-vaxxer while Kennedy Jr in his opening statement reiterated that he is not against vaccines.
“I have promised President Trump that if confirmed I will do everything in my power to put the health of Americans back on track,” Kennedy Jr.’s opening remarks read.
“And I have been greatly heartened to discover a deep level of care among members of this committee too. I came away from our conversations confident that we can put aside our divisions for the sake of a healthy America,” he will also say.
“The CDC says 90% of healthcare spending goes toward managing chronic disease, which hits lower-income Americans the hardest. The President’s pledge is not ‘To Make Some Americans Healthy Again.’ It’s all of us.”

‘All of my kids are vaccinated’

At the very beginning, Kennedy clarified the most-cited allegation against him that he is anti-vaccines. “I want to make sure the Committee is clear about a few things. News reports have claimed that I am anti-vaccine or anti-industry. Well, I am neither,” Kennedy Jr said. “All of my kids are vaccinated, and I believe vaccines have a critical role in healthcare,” he said. “Nor am I the enemy of food producers. … I want to work with our farmers and food producers to remove burdensome regulations and unleash American ingenuity.”

‘My boss loves Diet Coke’

Kennedy asserted that he does not want to take food away from anybody. “I don’t want to take food away from anybody. If you like a McDonald’s cheeseburger, a Diet Coke, which my boss loves, you should be able to get them,” Kennedy said referring to Donald Trump. “But you should know what the impacts are.”
