Rekhachithram Box Office Collections: ‘Rekhachithram’ box office collections day 9: Asif Ali’s investigative drama movie collects more than Rs 36 crore

While Basil Joseph’s ‘Pravinkoodu Shappu’ has gone down a bit in terms of box office collections and audience response, the Asif Ali starrer investigative drama movie ‘Rekhachithram’ has put its stronghold at the box office on the ninth day.

According to the Sacnilk website, ‘Rekhachithram’ has collected Rs 36.25 crores worldwide in just 9 days and the India Net collections for the film in the same time frame stand at Rs 18.13 crore.

The India Gross collection of the Asif Ali starrer is at Rs 20.05 crore and the overseas figures are at Rs 16.2 crore.

Coming to the Kerala box office, ‘Rekhachithram’ has collected Rs 18.13 at the Malayalam Net box office in 9 days, and on the ninth day, the film made a high of Rs 93 lakhs as per the early estimates by the website.

ETimes gave a rating of 3.5 out of 5 for ‘Rekhachithram’ and our review hailed the script of the film which elevated the movie to the next level. Our review reads, “Manoj K. Jayan and Zarin Shihab played their roles in a grounded and believable manner. Asif Ali has delivered a clean, subtle performance that suits the tone of the film. Anaswara Rajan, for once, has been utilised, and she gets the chance to use her acting prowess a little, even if the role is not a groundbreaking one. The lack of face-off dialogue between the protagonist and the antagonist makes it way better, especially because their silent face-offs have a much better impact and make them somewhat real. Asif Ali has once again delivered a watchable film.”
