NEW DELHI: Mumbai Police are conducting an investigation at Galaxy theatre in Bandra following reports from cinema-goers who experienced a disruption during the screening of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule‘.
Audience claimed that the screening of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ was halted for 15-20 minutes after the interval after an unidentified person sprayed a substance causing coughing, throat irritation and vomiting.

“We came out during the interval. After going back in, it seemed that someone had sprayed something causing coughing among the audience. The show was halted for around 10 minutes. The police are here checking everyone”, recounts Deen Dayal, who attended the screening at Galaxy theatre in Bandra.
“As soon as we went back after the interval, we started coughing. We went to the bathroom and vomited. The smell stayed for 10-15 minutes. The smell faded away after the doors were opened. The movie resumed after that. The police are inside conducting an investigation”, shares Ramzan, another viewer present at the Galaxy theatre screening of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’.

Earlier, a 32-year-old woman died and two others, including a boy, suffered injuries after a stampede outside a theatre at RTC X Roads during the premiere of Allu Arjun-starrer ‘Pushpa 2-The Rule’ on Wednesday night in Hyderabad.
The incident happened between 10.30 pm and 11.00 pm when Allu Arjun was at Sandhya Theatre watching the movie.
The deceased woman, Revathi, was given cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) by cops and rushed to a private hospital at Vidya Nagar, but she succumbed. The boy, who had fallen down during the stampede and became unconscious, was also revived by police by performing CPR on him. He was also taken to a private hospital at Begumpet and was recovering when last reports came in.
