Planning a Skoda? Buy now before prices of Slavia, Kushaq rise in Jan: Details
Planning a Skoda? Buy now before prices go up in January 2025.

Skoda Auto India has announced a price hike of up to 3 percent across its model lineup, effective January 1, 2025. The company has attributed this upward revision to escalating input and operational costs. Popular models, including the Kushaq, Slavia, Superb, and Kodiaq, will see revised pricing.
Skoda’s announcement aligns with similar moves by other automakers, including Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Hyundai, and Kia, who have also revealed price increases of up to 4% starting January 2025. If you are planning to invest in a Skoda or other vehicles from these brands, you may want to act quickly before the new pricing structures come into effect in the new year. However, if you are planning to purchase the newly-launched Kylaq, there’s some good news for you.

Skoda Kylaq: Is it affected by the price hike?

The recently launched compact SUV, Kylaq, will retain its introductory price until it reaches 33,333 bookings, the company said. This move offers a window of opportunity for buyers to grab the Kylaq at its initial pricing before the increase takes effect.

The Kylaq, which opened for bookings on December 2, had already amassed over 10,000 bookings within just 10 days, reflecting strong market demand. Priced between Rs 7.89 lakh and Rs 14.40 lakh, ex-showroom, it is Skoda’s most affordable offering in India. Deliveries for the Kylaq are scheduled to begin on January 27, 2025.
With the Kylaq, Skoda enters the fiercely competitive subcompact SUV segment, squaring off against rivals like the Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV 3XO, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza. The Kylaq is powered by a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that delivers 113 bhp and 178 Nm of torque. It comes mated to either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission.
