Bajaj Auto recently launched the Chetak 35 Series electric scooters, featuring a significant upgrade over the outgoing 32 Series models. The EV will compete in the highly-contested electric scooter market in India against the likes of Ather Rizta, Hero Vida V1, Ola S1 and TVS iQube among others.
Among its three variants, the top-spec Chetak 3501 emerges as a strong contender in the premium electric scooter segment, taking on rivals like the TVS iQube S. Here’s a quick comparison of how the Chetak 3501 and the iQube S stack up against each other in terms of battery performance, features, and pricing.

The Bajaj Chetak 3501 features a 3.5 kWh battery pack, delivering an ARAI-certified range of 153 km on a single charge. Its charging capabilities are a standout, allowing a 0-80% charge in just three hours.
In contrast, the TVS iQube S comes with a marginally smaller 3.4 kWh battery pack, offering a real-world range of 100 km. Charging the iQube S to 80% takes approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes.
While the Chetak offers a slightly lower top speed of 73 kmph compared to the iQube’s 78 kmph, both scooters feature two ride modes: Eco and Sports. The Chetak’s 4kW BLDC motor matches up well against the iQube’s 4.4kW hub-mounted motor.

The Chetak 3501 boasts a host of upgrades, including a 5-inch TFT touchscreen display with Bluetooth connectivity for calls, texts, and music controls. Additional features include in-built navigation, geo-fencing, guide-me-home lights, sequential turn indicators, reverse mode, and a USB charging port.
On the other hand, the iQube S takes a step further with a larger 7-inch TFT touchscreen, offering similar Bluetooth-enabled functionalities along with joystick-enabled navigation. Both scooters share features like full LED lighting, geo-fencing, reverse mode, and USB charging.

Price could be the deciding factor for buyers. The Bajaj Chetak 3501 is priced competitively at Rs 1.27 lakh, ex-showroom, making it more affordable than the TVS iQube S, which costs Rs 1.41 lakh, ex-showroom.
