The four-laning of the 466km Goa Highway in Maharashtra is expected to be completed by May-June 2025, cutting travel time by half. Work is pending on a few bypasses, underpasses and flyovers in towns like Mangaon, Indapur, Pali, Lanja, Kolad and Chiplun. Because of delays, the project cost has ballooned to Rs 7,300 crore.

The 84km Panvel-Indapur stretch is being developed by NHAI.
The remaining is being widened by the PWD under the Union ministry of road transport and highways.
