MUMBAI : There will be no day block on Western Railway suburban section today and this will bring relief to several commuters who are travelling by trains on Sunday.
There was however a block undertaken late Saturday night till early Sunday morning at Lower Parel station. The block was carried out for five hours on Up and Down fast lines from 11.30pm on Saturday to 4.30am on Sunday.
During the block period, all fast line trains were operated on slow lines between Mumbai Central and Mahim stations. Due to the block, some local trains were cancelled, an official said.
