Mumbai: The family of Jinal Vora, an insurance company professional who fell to her death from an emergency window on the 11th floor of her office building in Powai, have called for more security measures at the building to ensure no other life is lost. The family said the emergency window was unlocked when they visited later in the day and the building is not covered by cameras except for the lobby. They have decided to not lodge a complaint.
Vora was in the 11th floor pantry of Supreme Business Park, having coffee when she landed on the 10th floor lawn around 8.10 pm. Her husband, Siddharth Kakka, a lawyer, got a call from her office. “The executive said my wife was dizzy and fell unconscious. A while later, I got another call that she had been hospitalised… My brother-in-law called shortly and said that my wife was in the ICCU on a ventilator,” said Kakka.
“A month ago, we celebrated our third wedding anniversary… Jinal was doing very well in her career,” he said.
