INDORE: A 28-year-old doctor, described as ‘kind’ by his patients, was shot dead near his house in Indore’s Rajendra Nagar late Friday. There is no clue as to why he was killed, and four police teams are working to solve the mystery.
The victim, Dr Sunil Sahu, was shot on Cantonment Road, a short distance from his house where he ran a clinic, ACP Rubina Mizwani said. Dr Sahu had rented the clinic space about two and a half months ago.
On Friday, he received a call at 7.30pm informing him that a patient would visit around 9.30pm. He arrived at the clinic, not realising it was a trap. Witnesses reported seeing three masked gunmen. The number used to make the call belongs to a labourer, who said two men had borrowed his phone.
