Mumbai: Azad Maidan police are investigating the theft of gold chains, mobile phones and some wallets worth Rs 12.4 lakh at the chief minister and deputy chief ministers’ swearing-in ceremony held at Azad Maidan last week.
Thousands had gathered for the event, leading to significant security arrangements. To ensure safety, Mumbai police had deployed a force of 4,000 personnel along with additional security units.
