Mumbai: Former Shiv Sena minister Deepak Kesarkar on Wednesday said many people tried to prevent him from becoming a minister, but he will rise to a position higher than that of a minister. Kesarkar was school education and Marathi language minister and guardian minister for Mumbai city in the previous Mahayuti govt. He was dropped in the new govt. “Many people tried to prevent me from getting a ministerial post, I feel pity for them. My ministerial post is decided by God. I may go to a higher position than a minister. I am a devotee of Sai Baba. Sai Baba is capable of giving me a post. Since I do not have a ministerial post, I now have got a chance to breathe freely. That is why I am happy,” he said.
