NEW DELHI: A 24-year-old man was arrested for opening fire inside his girlfriend’s home following a breakup, police said on Saturday.
The incident occurred on Friday morning in Ambejogai, Maharashtra.
The accused, identified as Ganesh Pandit Chavan, barged into his girlfriend’s house and got into a heated argument with her.
When her family members tried to intervene, Chavan brandished a firearm and fired at the woman’s brother, who managed to dodge the bullet, an official said.

No one was injured in the incident.
Chavan was apprehended within four hours of the firing, and the police recovered the weapon along with a few bullets from his possession, the official added.
An investigation into the matter is underway.
