NEW DELHI: A case has been registered against a 28-year-old man for allegedly shooting objectionable videos of his neighbours without their knowledge in Maharashtra’s Thane district, police said on Tuesday.
The police filed a first information report (FIR) on Sunday against Sachin Dyanu Jadhav following a complaint. The charges include sections 77 (voyeurism), 352 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) and 351(2)(criminal intimidation) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita, according to an official.
The official stated that the accused recorded inappropriate videos of a couple residing in his building without their consent on March 15.
The investigation continues, with no arrests made thus far, the official confirmed.
The police have stated that they are actively investigating the matter.
