Mahindra has hiked the prices of its popular SUV, the XUV700, with significant hikes across select top-end variants. Customers opting for the AX7 and AX7 L trims will now need to shell out Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000 more, depending on the variant and fuel configuration. Here, let’s take a look at the revised pricing and what these trims have to offer.

Among the most affected are the AX7 L diesel automatic variants.The AX7 L Diesel AT 7-seater, AX7 L Diesel AT 6-seater, and AX7 L Diesel AT AWD have all seen a Rs 50,000 price increase. Meanwhile, the petrol-powered AX7 trims, including the AX7 Petrol AT (6S and 7S) and the AX7 L Petrol AT (6S and 7S), are now Rs 30,000 costlier. Similar increases apply to their diesel counterparts, such as the AX7 Diesel MT and AT variants in both 6- and 7-seater options.
Mahindra has revised the prices of its XUV700 AX7 and AX7 L variants across petrol and diesel trims. The AX7 petrol variants, including the AX7 AT 7-S, AX7 AT 6-S, AX7 L MT 7-S, and AX7 L MT 6-S, have witnessed a price hike of Rs 30,000, now costing between Rs 21.29 lakh and Rs 23.99 lakh, ex-showroom.

Similarly, the AX7 diesel trims, such as the AX7 AT 7-S, AX7 AT 6-S, AX7 AT 7-S 4WD, AX7 L MT 7-S, and AX7 L MT 6-S, have also been increased by Rs 30,000, with prices ranging from Rs 21.89 lakh to Rs 23.99 lakh. On the other hand, the top-end AX7 L diesel AT trims, including the AX7 L AT 7-S and AX7 L AT 7-S AWD, have become dearer by Rs 50,000, now priced at Rs 24.69 lakh and Rs 25.49 lakh, ex-showroom, respectively.

With this revision, the Mahindra XUV700 now carries an ex-showroom price range of Rs 13.99 lakh to Rs 25.64 lakh. Despite the price hike, the SUV continues to be a strong contender in its segment, competing with rivals like the Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar, Toyota Innova Crysta, and more.

Mahindra XUV 700: Engine and features

The XUV700 is offered in both petrol and diesel options. The 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine delivers 197bhp, while the 2.2-litre diesel engine offers two power outputs—153bhp and 182bhp. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a torque converter automatic gearbox.
The AX7 trims come equipped with features like leatherette interiors, dual-zone climate control, powered driver’s seat with memory function, and 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, along with a Level 2 ADAS suite. The AX7 L variants elevate the experience further by offering a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, blind-spot monitoring, a 12-speaker sound system, and sequential LED turn indicators.
