After launching its two electric SUVs, the BE 6 and XEV 9e, Mahindra is now preparing to introduce the all-electric version of the XUV700. The trademark for the XEV 7e was filed a few months ago, and now new details about this electric SUV have surfaced online. A recently leaked video offers a first look at the production-ready model, revealing key details about its design and features. Here, let’s take a look at what we can expect from the model.
Mahindra XEV 7e: Design
While the XEV 7e’s silhouette majorly resembles the XUV700, it comes with several EV-specific changes. The most noticeable updates include a closed-off front grille, flanked by vertically aligned LED headlamps and L-shaped LED DRLs stretching across the bonnet. The side profile looks quite similar to the XUV700 but features aerodynamically designed alloy wheels. At the rear also, the design appears similar to its ICE counterpart, featuring LED taillights connected by a light strip.
Mahindra XEV 7e: Cabin and interior
A peek inside the XEV 7e suggests it will share several elements with the flagship XEV 9e. The cabin is expected to feature a dual-tone black-and-white theme and a three-row configuration with captain seats in the second and third rows.
As for features, we can expect a panoramic sunroof, a triple-screen setup similar to the XEV 9e, alongside ventilated seats, wireless charging, multi-zone climate control, multiple airbags, Level 2 ADAS, and a 360-degree camera.
Mahindra XEV 7e: Battery and powertrain
While official specifications are yet to be disclosed, the XEV 7e is likely to offer two battery options: 59kWh and 79kWh. These are the same battery options offered with the BE 6 and XEV 9e. However, it is possible that the SUV maker might also introduce a dual-motor all-wheel-drive option. As for range, we can expect it to be in the 650-680 km per charge ball park.
