Suriya’s recently released period fantasy action film, ‘Kanguva’, is not making progress in its box office collections. On day 19, it earned Rs 10 lakhs, which is even lower than the Rs 14 lakhs it earned on day 18.
According to the Sacnilk website, ‘Kanguva’s Tamil net box office collections for 19 days stand at Rs 38.72 crores and the Worldwide collections are Rs 105.2 crores. The India Net collections for the film are Rs 69.7 crores and the India Gross collections for the Suriya starrer in 19 days stand at Rs 82.2 crores.

‘Kanguva’ has also not managed to impress with its collections abroad. The Overseas collections for the Surya starrer stand at Rs 23 crores.
Suriya and the Kanguva team had done extensive marketing in Hindi belts, but the film collected only Rs 14.71 crores in 19 days from the regions, and on day 19, the period action drama only minted Rs 2 lakhs. It seems that even the presence of the Bollywood actors Bobby Deol and Disha Patani has not helped the movie much in Hindi belts.
‘Kanguva’s Telugu Net box office collections for 19 days stand at Rs 15.98 crores and on day 19 the movie collected Rs 4 lakhs from the region. In 7 days, ‘Kanguva’ has raked in only Rs 15 lakhs from Kannada, and Kerala the Suriya starrer has only managed to mint Rs 14 lakhs.
Overall, it’s visible that Suriya’s most hyped film ‘Kanguva’ is having a tough time at the box office even though it had an initial pull. The movie received mostly mixed reviews from the audience. Now, with the arrival of Allu Arjun’s most-awaited action drama movie ‘Pushpa 2’, it can badly affect the theatrical run of ‘Kanguva’. The movie is set for an OTT release on December 13.
