JEE Main topper shares one tip to score 100 percentile that parents must note down

Many parents unknowingly burden their children with excessive academic pressure by piling up numerous reference books, study materials, and coaching classes. While their intentions stem from a desire for their child’s success, this overwhelming approach often leads to stress, anxiety, and burnout among students.
Recently, Saksham Jindal who scored 100 percentile in the prestigious exam, JEE Main, shared one tip that helped him achieve this remarkable feat.
“I prepared for Chemistry by focusing completely on the NCERT syllabus. In JEE Main, there is no need for any reference book or material other than NCERT syllabus,” he told the media. “I used to do practical questions again and again. This strengthened my confidence,” he added.
In India, competitive exams like JEE Main are seen as gateways to prestigious institutions and promising careers. Parents believe that more books and resources equate to better preparation, but in reality, this can create confusion and hinder effective learning. Instead of allowing children to focus on conceptual clarity and problem-solving, they are forced to juggle multiple materials, often leading to exhaustion. The pressure to excel can also affect their mental health, reducing motivation and interest in studies.
A balanced approach is essential, where quality is prioritized over quantity. Parents should encourage structured study plans, breaks, and emotional support instead of overloading their children with study materials.
Not just JEE Main, Saksham had also scored 97.8% in his CBSE class 10 exams along with winning medals in different Olympiad exams.
Hisar boy, Saksham, belongs to an academically inclined family where his father Dr Umesh Jindal, is a pathologist, and his mother, Dr Anita Jindal, is a doctor.
JEE Main is one of India’s most challenging entrance exams, conducted for admission to top engineering colleges. It tests students on Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, requiring rigorous preparation and problem-solving skills. Success in JEE Main can open doors to institutions like the NITs, IIITs, and even IITs through JEE Advanced.
