Jail custody for BEST driver in Kurla mishap

Mumbai: BEST bus driver Sanjay More who has been booked in the Kurla accident case was on Saturday sent to judicial custody for 14 days. Nine people have died so far when the bus allegedly driven by More knocked them down.
The driver claimed that he had noticed a spark while driving, and accidentally hit the accelerator instead of applying the brakes.
On Dec 9, the bus on route 332 accelerated on a congested 200mt stretch near Kurla station, hitting vehicles and pedestrians before halting inside a building compound. He said he was assigned an automatic transmission electric bus that day, but had little experience driving it. TNN
