NEW DELHI: The Congress seems headed for yet another electoral embarrassment in Delhi, with counting trends indicating a complete shutout. According to the Election Commission of India, BJP is leading in 41 seats, while AAP has secured leads in 29.(As time of writing) Congress, however, has failed to make an impact, yet to secure a single seat.
When asked about the party’s dismal performance, Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi said, “I don’t know, I haven’t checked the results yet.”
Exit polls had already painted a bleak picture, with two out of six predicting zero seats for Congress.If these projections hold, the party will once again be wiped out in the national capital, continuing its downward spiral with no clear path to recovery.
