Sunaina Roshan, the sister of actor Hrithik Roshan, has made headlines for being honest about her health issues. Sunaina has been a great advocate for adopting a better lifestyle, having battled cancer and fatty liver disease. She recently took to social media and expressed how she was able to overcome her Grade 3 fatty liver disease, a severe condition in which fat accumulates in the liver and can progress to cirrhosis if left untreated. Here’s how Sunaina reversed grade 3 fatty liver and changed her life forever.

A junk-food lover’s realisation

Sunaina’s health struggles began with a lifestyle that heavily featured junk food. Like many of us, she indulged in pizzas, burgers, and fried foods. “There was nothing healthy going into my body,” she admitted in her earlier posts. She explained how simple it is to get into the trap of eating unhealthy meals on a regular basis without knowing the long-term consequences for one’s body. Her liking for junk food resulted in major health problems, including the development of Grade 3 fatty liver disease, which she originally ignored until it became a wake-up call.

A wake-up call: Diagnosed with jaundice and fatty liver disease

The real turning point for Sunaina came when she was diagnosed with jaundice. To make matters worse, she also found out that she had Grade 3 fatty liver. Jaundice, a liver condition, worsened because of her fatty liver, and her doctors warned her that without lifestyle changes, her liver health could deteriorate further. This harsh reality pushed Sunaina to make necessary changes. In a video, she shared that she had to avoid spicy and fried foods, which led her to gradually adopt a cleaner, more nourishing diet.
“I took it one day at a time,” Sunaina shared. By making small changes to her diet and lifestyle, she noticed the positive impact on her health. Sunaina now emphasizes that reversing a health condition is possible with consistent effort.

Better diet and regular Exercise

Sunaina emphasised two key things that helped her reverse her Grade 3 fatty liver disease: sheer willpower and determination. “Dietary changes along with my regular exercises helped me go from a Grade 3 to a Grade 1, and recently eliminate it completely,” she went on.

Her dietary changes focused on eliminating harmful, manufactured foods. Along with diet, physical exercise became a vital part of her daily routine. Sunaina became committed to regular exercise, which not only helped her lose weight but also improved her liver function.
According to the studies, these lifestyle adjustments can considerably reduce liver fat and inflammation, particularly when the condition is discovered in the early to moderate stages.

Sunaina’s remarkable turnaround didn’t just stem from her physical efforts but also from her willpower and determination. It was her inner strength that pushed her through the most difficult parts of her recovery. She believes that perseverance is key and encourages others not to wait for a crisis to make healthier choices.
