Agarwal, who designed a smart pot FloraCare, that uses IoT-powered soil sensors to automate watering and monitor hydration levels in real-time, explained how such technologies are water-efficient and are designed to align with sustainability goals.
He also said innovations like drone technology and IoT sensors allow planters to monitor soil health, crop growth, and weather conditions in real-time. “Automated planting and harvesting machines are streamlining labor-intensive tasks, saving time and resources,” he added.
Countries like the United States, Israel, and India are adopting these technologies to address challenges in agriculture. “These tools tackle food security and environmental sustainability,” said Agarwal, highlighting their role in global agricultural practices.
