Gurgaon: Cybercrime sleuths have registered a case of stalking and sexual harassment against a man named Kuldeep Rathore from Mahendragarh, on the directions of a local court in Nuh
Kuldeep is accused of harassing a 24-year-old relative by posting her morphed photos on Instagram with a fake ID created by the name ‘Apradhi Baba‘.
The complainant denied having any relationship with the accused but it was found that he knew her through her brother who married one of his relatives in Feb 2020.
She stated that she recently got married in Nov 2024 and Kuldeep wanted to cause marital discord between the couple.
She also alleged that the accused targeted her even before her marriage through similar methods. She added that he has been sending inappropriate messages along with death threats to her husband.
“He wants to defame me in the society. He also threatened to kill my husband on Instagram. If no action is taken in time, it might foil my marital life,” she said.
A case was registered under sections 74 (assault or use of criminal force to a woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 75 (sexual harassment), and 78 (stalking) of the BNS on Monday.
Nuh cyber crime PS inspector Vimal Rai said that further investigation is underway and appropriate legal action will be initiated.
