Mumbai: The city crime branch on Saturday busted a fake call centre operating from Sakinaka and arrested six men, including the owener, for allegedly cheating US nationals by selling them sexual stimulant drugs like Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra without prescription.
Officials of Unit 10 seized laptops, mobile phones, and documents, including a list of US nationals’ contact details from the centre. They booked the arrested persons — owner Asad Sayyed, Zaid Ahsan, Rihan Khan, Adnan Khan, Owais Ali Shaikh, and Taufiq Shaikh — under the BNS sections of cheating, forgery, and criminal conspiracy, and under the Information Technology Act.
Police are verifying the financial transactions, potential international links, and if any other persons were involved in the racket. tnn
