Exclusive: Tenali Rama’s Krishna Bharadwaj on if social media is important to stay ‘relevant’; says ‘I am not active because it affects my sanity’

Krishna Bharadwaj, widely recognized for his role in Tenali Rama, recently shared his thoughts on the importance of social media in an exclusive interview with Times of India TV. When asked if staying active on social media is crucial for remaining relevant, Krishna admitted, “It is. But I am bad at it. I am not very active on social media. I don’t have many followers. I don’t know if it is good or bad, and somehow I don’t feel connected to social media.”
Krishna, a self-proclaimed private person, finds it challenging to engage with social media frequently. He confessed, “I don’t even remember taking selfies. So many times I forget to click pictures to post on social media. I can’t keep posting pictures of food or what I am wearing.” Despite acknowledging the platform’s relevance, Krishna believes it’s important to use social media wisely and derive positive outcomes from it.
The actor elaborated on his views, saying, “Social media is an accumulation of information… unjustified information, which is a clutter. You don’t know which one to follow because there’s so much information all the time. I am not active because it affects my sanity.” However, Krishna appreciates the spiritual revolution he has observed on social media, with many young people embracing spirituality. “This is a positive sign, which attracts me the most,” he added.
Krishna also shared his approach to unwinding after long hours of work. “In real life, you will find me sitting in a corner and not talking to anyone. I like peace after 12 hours of talking. That moment of coming back to yourself, there’s a sense of peace in it. I just like lying down on my bed, pillow, and feeling cozy. Just being in my personal space is my idea of unwinding.”
Through his candid reflections, Krishna Bharadwaj emphasized the balance between staying relevant and preserving one’s mental peace in the age of social media.
