Actor Vidyut Jammwal who was in Maha Kumbh says, he was there as a martial art exponent rather than an actor.
During an interaction at an event of shankh naad at Shambhu Panch Agni Akhara, he revealed, “My mother was really keen to experience the Kumbh so was my sister who has come all the way from London. We did snaan and darshan pujan at this mega event. I am here to explore the various akharas and meet the members of the akharas who have great physical fitness like the warriors. Shankh that has been an integral part of Samudra manthan, also streamlines the breathing process.”

The actor who was seen in films like Junglee, Khudha Haafiz, adds, “I had great fun at the akharas, as we did push-ups, physical exercise and breathing practices together, so my purpose of coming to Kumbh was different. Kumbh is a union of all kinds of human beings which is also the message of yoga. I like the underlying concept of belief that this mega-fair denotes. There is a trust that a holy dip will change what they want to change in their life. There is so much of crowd here but the kind of collaboration and harmony you see among people is really amazing.”

Vidyut says, “As a martial artist I feel that everyone at the Maha Kumbh is trying to improve themselves in their own way, either physically or mentally. The sole purpose of everyone is to unite with the Supreme being.”
