MUMBAI: Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis has instructed that the district administration should coordinate and effectively implement necessary measures to distribute crop damage relief so that farmers affected by natural disasters get immediate assistance.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis reviewed the work to be done in 100 days by the Relief and Rehabilitation and Disaster Management Department in a meeting at the Sahyadri Guest House.
Fadnavis said farmers are in trouble due to damage to their crops due to natural disasters. The government announces assistance to recover from this. So that they get the assistance announced by the government immediately , the e-KYC process of the concerned farmers should be done immediately and direct assistance should be provided to them.
The e-Panchnama project should be implemented on a pilot basis.
He also said that along with implementing the Rehabilitation Authority in Amravati and Nashik, a proposal for 8 additional authorities should be brought before the Cabinet.
He also said that a proposal should be prepared to complete the civic amenities in the settlements given to the villages rehabilitated before 1976 and transfer them to the Rural Development Department .
The State Emergency Response Center and District Emergency Response Centers should be updated. He also gave instructions for effective implementation of Konkan Disaster Mitigation and other mitigation projects in Maharashtra.
The meeting was attended by Water Resources (Vidarbha , Tapi and Konkan Irrigation Boards) and Disaster Management Minister Girish Mahajan , Environment Minister Pankaja Munde , Sports Minister Dattatray Bharne , Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Makarand Jadhav Patil , Fisheries Minister Nitesh Rane , Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik , Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Vikas Kharge , Principal Secretary Ashwini Bhide, Secretary Dr. Shrikar Pardeshi , Additional Chief Secretary of Relief and Rehabilitation Department Sonia Sethi , Principal Secretary of Environment Department Vinita Ved Singal , Fisheries Secretary Dr. Ramaswamy N. etc.
