Mumbai: Both Central and Western Railway will operate special late-night trains for revellers during New Year’s Eve.
On the CR Main line, a late-night train from CSMT will depart at 1.30 am on Jan 1, reaching Kalyan at 3 am. Similarly, the train from Kalyan will depart at 1.30 am on New Year and reach CSMT at 3 pm.
On the Harbour line, the last train from CSMT will depart at 1.30 am, reaching Panvel at 2.50 am. In the return direction, the train from Panvel will be at 1.30 am and reach CSMT at 2.50 am, an official said. The train will halt at all stations.
On Western Railway, trains from Churchgate to Virar will depart at 1.15 am, 2 am, 2.30 am, and 3.25 am, halting at all stations en route, said WR Chief Spokesperson Vineet Abhishek. In the opposite direction, the late-night trains from Virar to Churchgate will be at 12.15 am, 12.45 am, 1.40 am, and 3.05 am, stopping at all stations.
