Cockroach infestation, unlabelled pav, and dirty utensils found at two popular restaurants in this city
The Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana, inspected The Fort and Delish by Homes Kitchen in Rajendranagar, discovering major hygiene issues. Both places had greasy exhaust fans, unclean utensils, unlabelled food, and lacked pest control records. The kitchens were found to be infested with cockroaches.

Whether it’s a popular restaurant or a street kiosk, hygiene in terms of food is very important. Afterall, we all eat out to feel good and not to fall sick. But, what if you get to know that dining at some places is actually an open invitation to illness? Well, something similar happened with the task force of the Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana, when they inspected two popular restaurants of the region recently. Scroll down to find out/
During the inspection by the task force team of the Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana at The Fort, Rajendranagar on Feb 8, they found exhaust fans to be greasy and dripping oil. Refrigerators were found to be very unhygienic and identified stored boiled vegetables in large quantities without any labels. Also, utensils were not cleaned properly. Kitchen floor was found to be wet and with improper drainage. Most importantly, cockroach infestation was found in the premises. And, the pest control records were not available. Additionally, food waste was not being removed on a regular basis.

As per the X post by Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana, the inspection at Delish by Homes Kitchen, Rajendranagar on Feb, 8, resulted in the following findings. As per the post, food waste was not removed at regular intervals. Also, exhaust fans were found to be greasy and dripping oil. And medical fitness certificates of food handlers and pest control records were not available. Additionally, several unlabelled raw materials such as pav were found in the kitchen.
