Mumbai: Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis said Budget 2025 will be a milestone in India’s economic history. He said it will deepen the economy, provide relief to the middle class, salaried, youth and farmers. He also said new policies will benefit the state greatly, especially since it is the capital of startups. “Income up to Rs 12 lakh has been made tax-free… This will bring a lot of income into the pockets of the middle class.While spending this income, demand in the country will increase, which will directly benefit micro, small and medium enterprises. This will also create employment,” said the CM.
Fadnavis said provisions of Rs 683 crore have been made for Maharashtra Rural Connectivity Improvement Project, Rs 100 crore for Maharashtra Agribusiness Project, Rs 1,094 crore for the Economic Cluster, and Rs 186 crore for Upsa Irrigation Scheme. The CM said, “A loan limit of Rs 20 crore has been set for startups. This will strengthen the startup ecosystem.”
