Chhatarpur Election Results 2025: It's Brahma Singh Tanwar vs Kartar Singh Tanwar vs Rajinder Tanwar

Chhatarpur Election Results 2025 LIVE: The Chhatarpur legislative assembly seat, one of the prominent constituencies in Delhi, is witnessing a three-way contest between AAP’s Brahma Singh Tanwar, BJP’s Kartar Singh Tanwar, and Congress’ Rajinder Tanwar. Brahma Singh Tanwar represents AAP, Kartar Singh Tanwar is contesting for BJP, and Congress has fielded Rajinder Tanwar in the 2025 legislative assembly elections.
The results for the Chhatarpur election will be declared today, along with those from the other 69 constituencies in Delhi.This seat, notable for its historical and commercial importance, falls under the Janakpuri Lok Sabha constituency and is classified as a general seat. In addition to the three major political parties, several smaller regional groups are also competing in this election.

About Chhatarpur Assembly Constituency

Chhatarpur is one of the 70 assembly constituencies in the National Capital Territory of Delhi, India. It was established after the delimitation of constituencies in 2008. The constituency is part of the South Delhi Lok Sabha constituency, along with nine other assembly segments: Bijwasan, Sangam Vihar, Ambedkar Nagar, Deoli, Kalkaji, Tughlakabad, Palam, Badarpur, and Mehrauli. Additionally, Chhatarpur is a city and municipality in the Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh, serving as the district’s administrative headquarters.
The constituency is known for its proximity to several notable locations, including Bageshwar Dham (25 km from the city), Khajuraho Temple (40 km), Kutni Dam (40 km), Dhubela Museum (5 km), Jatashankar Temple (40 km), and Hanuman Toria.
As per the 2011 Census, Chhatarpur’s population was approximately 99,519, with males accounting for 53% and females 47%. The average literacy rate stood at 69%, with male literacy at 75% and female literacy at 62%.
In the 2020 Delhi Assembly elections, Kartar Singh Tanwar from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) won with 69,411 votes. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Brahm Singh Tanwar secured 65,691 votes, while Congress candidate Satish Lohia received 3,874 votes.
In the 2015 Delhi Assembly elections, Kartar Singh Tanwar, also from AAP, won with 67,644 votes. BJP’s Brahm Singh Tanwar garnered 45,405 votes, and Congress’s Balram Singh Tanwar obtained 9,339 votes.
The upcoming election is scheduled for February 5, with vote counting set to take place on February 8.

Chhatarpur Election Results 2025: AAP vs BJP vs Congress

The 2025 Delhi Assembly elections mark a decisive moment for the capital’s administrative future. The single-phase polling conducted on February 5 saw over 15 million eligible voters casting their ballots across all 70 constituencies.
A total of 699 aspirants contested the elections, comprising 603 male and 96 female candidates.
The results carry substantial weight as the ruling AAP seeks to maintain its dominance with a fourth consecutive term, while the BJP attempts to regain control after a 27-year absence from power. The Congress party, once a dominant force in Delhi’s political landscape, aims to re-establish its presence in the region.
