Central railway suspends ticket booking staff at Kalyan station for overcharging passengers

Mumbai: Central Railway suspended Arvind Mandal, a ticket booking staff posted at Kalyan Railway Station. Mandal was accused of overcharging passengers for tickets. Following the action taken against Mandal, the video went viral on social media.
According to the viral video, two days ago, a passenger was standing to get a ticket for a long-distance train at Kalyan Railway Station when he saw that the booking staff was taking extra money from passengers in lieu of the ticket. Mandal collected Rs 30 from him. He also recorded the audio of another passenger from whom Mandal took money separately, accusing Mandal of taking extra money on ticket.
After making the video, the person sent it to the railway officials and complained to them, after which Central Railway suspended Mandal.
