Brace for megablock on Main suburban line of Central Railway in Mumbai today; no block on Harbour line

Mumbai Mega Block on Central Railway Fast Lines Between Matunga and Mulund Affected from 11 30 am to 3 30 pm

MUMBAI: Central Railway, Mumbai Division will operate megablock on its Main suburban section carrying out various engineering and maintenance works today.
The block will be on the Up and Down fast lines between Matunga and Mulund stations from 11.30 am to 3.30 pm, and this could inconvenience commuters due to crowds on some of the platforms.
The Up fast line services departing Thane from 11.25 am to 3.27 pm will be diverted on Up slow line at Mulund, halting at their respective scheduled halts between Mulund and Matunga and further re-diverted on Up fast line at Matunga station and will arrive destination 15 minutes behind schedule.
“There will be no megablock on Harbour Line between CSMT and Panvel and on Trans Harbour line between Thane and Panvel,” said CR chief spokesperson Swapnil Nila.
“These maintenance mega blocks are essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety,” he added.
