Mumbai: A 55-year-old BMC official was allegedly caught red-handed by ACB officials while accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 on Thursday. The accused, Satish Jadhav, a mukadam in the K/West ward, allegedly demanded Rs 3 lakhfrom a complainant to secure a permanent job. Officials said that the complainant, a security guard seeking a permanent job, met Jadhav on Dec 12, 2024 and assured him to arrange for a permanent job within six months. —S Ahmed Ali
