Nashik: BJP will engage youngsters through the state convention of party’s office-bearers at Shirdi in Ahilyanagar on Sunday, the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
A BJP office-bearer from Nashik said, “At the convention, we will see some resolutions being passed in the interest of the youth to increase their participation in active politics in general and the party in particular… Plans will be discussed, and the teams will be mobilised to increase youth participation in the party, which will obviously help BJP in the local body elections.”
Exactly a year ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated the 27th National Youth Festival in Nashik. “Now, the state’s convention of BJP is being scheduled in Shirdi, the neighbouring district,” he said.
Union home minister Amit Shah and BJP national president JP Nadda will be the key speakers at the convention. The office-bearers said the convention would be based on the teachings of Swami Vivekananda, underlining the BJP’s commitment to the youth, empowerment of the nation and spiritual growth of the youth.
