Kolhapur: Chhagan Bhujbal on Friday heaped praises on CM Devendra Fadnavis, saying he was taking forward Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule‘s works at Naigaon in Satara district. Naigaon is the birthplace of Savitribai Phule, where a programme was held to mark her 194th birth anniversary. In response to Bhujbal’s comment, Fadnavis credited the NCP politician for bringing the works of Jyotiba Phule and Savitribai Phule before the public , claiming “the Phules were mostly neglected”. Bhujbal later shared the dais with Sharad Pawar in Pune and praised him too for the restoration of Mahatma Phule Wada and for renaming the Marathwada university as Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University. – Abhijeet Patil
