Bajaj Auto has sparked excitement among Pulsar enthusiasts with a teaser for what could be its next big addition to the model’s lineup. The teaser, shared on the company’s social media platforms, features a caption that plays on intrigue: “The sound is enough. You already know what it is… or do you?” The teaser has ignited debates about whether this new product will be the updated Pulsar RS 200 or an all-new Pulsar RS 400.
Pulsar RS 200: A refresh on the horizon?
The Pulsar RS 200 is currently the only model in Bajaj’s Pulsar range that hasn’t received a significant update in recent years. If the teaser hints at a refreshed RS 200, we can expect substantial upgrades, including a fully digital LCD instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and possibly a ride-by-wire throttle system offering multiple ride modes.
Hardware updates could include the addition of USD front forks, which would improve handling, while the rear is expected to retain the monoshock setup. Its 199.5cc liquid-cooled engine, delivering 24.1 bhp and 18.7 Nm of torque, is likely to remain unchanged.
Pulsar RS 400: Could this be the RS 400?
Alternatively, the teaser might hint at something much bigger: an all-new Pulsar RS 400. Built on the recently launched NS 400Z, the RS 400 could bring a fully faired, performance-oriented design to Bajaj’s portfolio. If the RS 400 becomes a reality, it could share its powertrain with the Dominar 400 and Pulsar NS 400, featuring a 373.27cc liquid-cooled engine producing 40 hp and 35 Nm of torque.
In terms of features, it could get a Bluetooth-enabled digital console, riding modes, USB charger and all-LED lighting among other highlights. Besides, it can be expected to feature USD forks, a rear monoshock, slipper clutch, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Bajaj has been consistently expanding and updating its Pulsar lineup, cementing its position as a cornerstone of the company’s success in the two-wheeler market. While the teaser leaves much to the imagination, the growing anticipation hints at a significant announcement in the coming weeks.
