KOCHI: An 11-month-old baby, who experienced discomfort during an international flight, died despite being rushed to a hospital on Tuesday after arriving at Cochin International Airport from Bahrain with its mother.
The infant, identified as Fezin Ahmmed of Malappuram, received primary medical assistance on the flight and was rushed to a private hospital at Angamaly around 4am, but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police visited the hospital and issued a no-objection certificate before releasing the body to the relatives. The child had been facing medical complications since birth, police said.
