Are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle planning to return to the UK?

Ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle started dating and later got married in 2018, the royal couple never fail to make the headlines. In 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex- Harry and Meghan, shocked everyone when they announced that they’ll be stepping back from their duties as senior members of the British royal family. Soon after, Harry, Meghan, and their son Archie moved from the UK to the US and they have been living in their Montecito home in California ever since. The royal couple even expanded their family with the birth of their daughter, Lilibet, in 2021.
Since then, while Prince Harry keeps visiting his home country and his family, his wife Meghan’s last visit to the UK was in 2022 for attending the late Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral. It was during this difficult time when the two prince– William and Harry– were seen together in public along with their respective wives– Kate and Meghan.
In an earlier report, a royal staffer named Grant Harrold- who worked with King Charles II from 2004to 2011, had revealed that Meghan may never return to the UK. “I just think Meghan’s too much of an American girl, she doesn’t want to be in the U.K. permanently…I can see her coming over for the holidays and having time over here, but living here permanently? I just don’t see it,” Harrold had told the Mirror.
On a similar note, author Omid Scobie had claimed in his book ‘Endgame’ that Meghan “never wants to set foot” in the UK again, as she “never really felt at home” there.
But now, according to a new report by the Express UK, Meghan and Harry might have a change of heart and the reason might surprise you. Speaking to the Express UK, a royal expert named Jennie Bond said that since Harry’s cousin Princess Beatrice recently gave birth to her daughter– named Athena Elizabeth– Harry and Meghan might travel to the UK to meet Beatrice and her newborn child.

“I imagine that Beatrice has already pinged a picture or two [of Athena] to Harry and Meghan… I don’t think it will hasten a visit by them to the UK, but perhaps if charity work or business brings Harry this way he’ll be keen to meet his new cousin,” Ms Bond said.
If this is true, then it would surely be a big royal reunion to look forward to.
